With its diverse range of bar environments, The Brass Monkey has often been identified as a venue suffering from 'an accute case of multiple personality disorder'.
The main bar has all the charm of a classic Australian gentleman with its heady mixture of brass fittings, wooden paneling floors, infused with the smell of hand-crafted beer.
The outside courtyard, on the other hand, is a more stylish contemporary soul populated by Raffia palms, plasma screens and stainless steel furniture: a haven for global travellers trying to find their place in the world and corporate executives trying to hide from it.
The Brass Lounge Bar & Balcony
Head up the stairs and you'll step into the chilled atmosphere of our Lounge Bar and Balcony. Cosy up on a couch and enjoy a pre-dinner cocktail, or enjoy a meal on the federation balcony while taking in the sunset and the great view of the city.
Friday afternoons, we help you relax after a stressful work week with a great local acoustic artist on the balcony. Afterwards, we ramp it up and get the party started with one of our well loved resident DJs.
Saturday is party night and we often host birthday parties, work functions and school reunions. DJs Grizzly and Peta alternate on the decks with Peta hosting Seduction, a night of RnB, Hip Hop and other sexy beats every second Saturday.
Offering stunning views of the CBD’s iconic skyline on one side, a 3.5 metre TV on the other, and nothing but sun and stars above, our new bar is sure to impress.
Catch all the biggest sporting events in stunning HD quality while enjoying the largest variety of craft beers, ciders, spirits and cocktails in Northbridge.
Our Rooftop specialty menu has been designed to seduce your tastebuds. Using only the freshest produce, our head chef has created a tantalising menu for our punters.
Follow the sound of clapping and cheering and you’ll find yet another Monkey Bar personality - the Sports Bar. A cozy but dynamic character where sports fans can pay homage to their favorite team in the sanctity of their favorite public lounge room: complete with high-pitched ceilings and MEGA screen linked to Bose surround sound speakers.
So how does The Brass Monkey cope with the quirks of a fractured personality... if the contentment of our patrons is anything to go by; very well indeed.
