And so it should be, it’s won more than 20 medals at beer shows across the planet with a recipe refined over 15 years of dedicated practice (hic!). And if stout isn’t your cup of tea, there’s 22 (that’s right, 22) ice cold beers on tap. This makes decision making a complete nightmare. Or maybe it’s a wet dream.

Brass Monkey Stout |
Brass Monkey Stout—a rich, smooth stout of grand proportions naturally brewed at the Sail and Anchor Pub Brewery.
Brass Monkey Stout is mashed from pale malt, Dark Crystal Malt and black roasted barley giving this stout a ruby blackness. An infusion of Pride of Ringwood hop blossoms, a late addition of the aromatic Willamette hops variety imparts a spicy zest to the beer’s complex bouquet.
After maturation, the beer comes to the bar displaying an almost coffeeish, roasted barley aroma with plenty of fruitiness from the warmer ale fermentation. Tasting rich and toffeeish, with a silky-smooth mouthfeel, and finishing with a gentle balancing hop bitterness. Brass Monkey Stout has a velvety texture on the palate and displays a rich creamy head so distinctive of the style. |

Alpha Pale Ale |
| Alpha Pale Ale is a traditionally brewed ale which takes its name from the the addition of specially selected Cascade hops that are high in Iso Alpha Bitterness. These hops create a rich bitterness that together with a slow fermentation deliver a complex aroma of citrus, fruity hop character with a full malt palate and bitter finish.

Beck’s Premium Pilsner is instantly recognisable by its crisp, fresh palate and bitter taste. It’s pale colour belies its rich malt sweetness with a pronounced bitter hop finish. (5.0% alc/vol)

Beez Neez |
| Matilda Bay Brewing Company’s philosophy is to be both traditional and innovative. Brewed with a blend of premium pale malted barley and malted wheats with an equal amount of pure light amber honey, Beez Neez is a uniquely Australian made specialty beer. The light malt palate with its dominant honey aroma and flavour create a pale light golden coloured beer, with a moderate bitterness. This distinctive specialty beer is surprisingly clean, crisp and refreshing.

Bohemian Pilzner |
Pilzen is a Bohemian town in old Czechoslovakia where Pils traditionally has its origins. Our craft brewed version, Bohemian Pilzner is a full strength lager, brewed using the German Reinheitsgebot Purity Law dating back to the year 1516, which states that we are only able to use malt, water, and hops in the entire brewing process (yeast wasn’t mentioned since it hadn’t yet been identified!).
Bohemian Pilzner is brewed with the finest Australian pale malts and Czech Saaz hops. A true Pilsen Style beer, the aroma is distinctively European with strong floral spice hop characters. Long maturation is integral for these hops to integrate with malts to produce a full rich palate.
Bohemian Pilsner won Grand Champion Lager at the 2005 Australian International Beer Awards.

Dogbolter is based on the classic Munich style dark lager, characterised by an intense roasted caramel flavour derived from the use of aromatic chocolate malt and chocolate wheat. Indian Pale Ale |
IPA (Indian Pale Ale) emulates a traditional, strong, English style bitter ale. Brewed to withstand the rigours of journey from England to India, it is both higher in alcohol and bitterness than your average ale.
Pale malt, with a touch of crystal, was mashed to produce a rich, high gravity wort for kettle. Heaps of Kent Golding hops bitter the beer with smaller additions of Cascade, Saaz and Hallertau hop flowers providing a more aromatic complexity. A warm fermentation followed by a brief cool conditioning in the cask, brought the ale to maturity.
A showcase for hop complexity, the aroma is citrusy, floral and intricate. The palate is crisp and dry with just enough sweetness to balance its immense hop character.
As expected, the finish is dry and refreshing with lingering bitterness. |

Redback |
Redback is modelled on the weizen beers of southern Germany where, for centuries, this style of beer has been popular, particularly in summer when its refreshing qualities come into their own. Redback is Australia's original wheat beer, brewed from both malted wheat and malted barley, and a blend of Saaz and Pride of Ringwood hops. Pride of Ringwood is added at the beginning of the boil for bitterness, Saaz hops are added five minutes before the end of the boil for a subtle fresh hop aroma. The combination of quality ingredients and the care taken by Matilda Bay's brewers result in a unique refreshing beer that has a rich creamy mouth feel and a subtle bitterness on the palate.

It has continued to collect a number of awards over the years, winning golds regularly at the Australasia International Beer Awards and a distinguished silver at the very highly regarded 2004 World Beer Cup. |
